Enjoy your vacation "at home" in our house, Casa Orquidea, one block from the calm Caribbean Sea, on the wonderful tropical island of Vieques, Puerto Rico. This completely renovated home has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, beautiful landscaping, a large weather-protected patio and an outside shower enclosed by flowering vines. Use our linens, towels, hairdryers, snorkeling equipment, boogie boards, beach chairs, coolers and nice bike.
Stay in the village of Esperanza on the South coast of Vieques, an easy stroll from the beach. It's a two-block walk to groceries, a bakery, charming stores, delicious restaurants, happening bars, the baseball field with batting cages, a basketball court, a huge playground, a Catholic chapel, a Methodist church ...and internet service, if you must.
Get around the island from Casa Orquidea to all the spectacular beaches and other island destinations best with a rental car or scooter --but using the local taxis ('publicos") is a cinch, and you can just walk many places.
We spend our own vacations here, so the place is all set up for you to arrive, relax and enjoy.
Your family will settle in very comfortably here (sleeps eight, with a pull-out sofa). You and a friend or two couples will all have plenty of privacy (two master bedrooms, each with a bath), even with some kids along.
